Access to education and training is one of the essential conditions for any development process today. As such, our program " Education and Vocational Training » which includes social integration, supports the development of Benin by promoting quality and access to education for children, ensures the empowerment of young people (girls and boys) and women, particularly the most disadvantaged and vulnerable, by strengthening their capacities and skills, while offering them a learning opportunity that ensures their integration into the social and economic life of the country.

Thus, AMAF-BENIN believes that education is the best way to develop intelligence and skills in children and ensure their well-being. We work to improve the quality of education, access to education for children, particularly those from disadvantaged and vulnerable backgrounds, and/or exposed to discrimination, and those who may face difficulties accessing the educational environment, and we work to keep children in the school system.

AMAF-BENIN also considers that adult literacy (young people and women) is a means of developing their capacities and improving their living conditions and a factor of social inclusion which contributes to the empowerment of vulnerable groups, their social and economic development, the improvement of their well-being and sustainable development. 

AMAF-BENIN finally believes that vocational training is the best way to achieve its objectives with respect to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, particularly young people and women in rural areas. These disadvantaged and vulnerable groups face difficulties in accessing education and vocational training systems, which would allow them to benefit from training to improve their ability to adapt their income-generating activities or production to market needs. Vocational training facilitates the adaptation of young people and rural women to labor markets. 

Our first Literacy and Vocational Training Center in sewing and embroidery was established in Cotonou and has been providing literacy and vocational training to young girls and boys in sewing and embroidery since 2010. Beyond its status as a vocational training center, it also takes the form of a listening, counseling and assistance center for young people, adolescents and women experiencing social, academic and family difficulties, their orientations and their integration.
