This project received funding from Urgent Action Fund Africa (UAF-Africa). Its objective is to promote women's rights and gender equality in the Bassila Commune by strengthening the leadership and voice of women and girls through education and training on legal instruments that promote the rights of women and girls. The project raised awareness among the population about the social norms that deprive women and girls of their rights and increase their vulnerability, and also strengthened their knowledge of laws that protect women. Issues of sexual violence and promoting women's access to land and productive resources were also addressed.
