This project received funding from Oxfam Benin as part of the Women's Voice and Leadership (VLF) program. Its objective is to contribute to reducing gender-based inequalities in the communal sociocultural space of Bassila by promoting women's and girls' access to land and their involvement in the governance of land and forest resources. The goal is to ensure sustainable and inclusive management of land and forest landscapes, safeguard biodiversity and local livelihoods, and mitigate the current and future impacts of climate change. Thus, the project has promoted access to land for beneficiary women and their involvement in local land and forest governance and management bodies, allowing them to develop their agricultural activities with less difficulty and promote non-timber forest products (NTFPs).
